The Schenectady City School District believes that one of the most important ways we can help our children perform better in class is to provide them with the nutrition necessary for the healthy growth of minds and bodies.  To accomplish that, we offer breakfast and lunch in our schools each day.

Meals are provided by Sodexo

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

Schenectady is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).  All children in the Schenectady City School District will receive free breakfast and lunch at their school each day.

Please complete form (below in document container)
While there are no qualifications or income verification, we are asking each family to complete and return one form.  This is not to determine if your children will receive meals.  We must collect the information for reporting purposes and for applications for additional funding and grants that will benefit our students.

If you have received a letter from New York State stating that your children are directly certified for free meals, you do not need to complete this form.  If you know that your household would not normally qualify and you do not wish to disclose your income, you may simply state "do not qualify for benefits" on the income portion of the form.  Please remember to complete all other sections.

Please return the form to your child's school or by mailing it to:
