School Bus Rules

Rules for Riding the School Bus

Students who are disorderly or insubordinate may have transportation privileges suspended by the superintendent of schools or principal.  In such cases, the parents and guardians will become responsible for safely getting children to and from school.  Please talk with your children about appropriate behavior at the bus stop and while riding the bus to and from school.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the transportation office at 370-8103.

Child Bus Safety Notice for Parents

Parents are urged to discuss with their children the potential dangers associated with clothing and other items which carry drawstrings or straps.  These items such as backpacks, long scarves and coats hanging freely can get caught in the bus door as the student disembarks and lead to tragedy.  Please remove all drawstrings from student clothing and advise your children to be aware of these potential dangers.

A Note to Kindergarten Parents

As newcomers to school, Pre-K and Kindergarten children need to know the rules of riding the bus.  Parents play an important role in making this happen.  Please take time to explain to you children the rules of school bus safety and help us transport your child safely.  You are required to escort your child to and from the bus stop so that you can help us teach the rules of bus safety
