Parent Preferences Regarding In-Person Learning
Important:  We are asking all families to complete the Parent Survey Regarding In-Person Learning.
As we explore the feasibility of expanding in-person learning opportunities for the remainder of the school year, we are asking for some feedback from you about your preferences.  Even if you do not want to make any changes for the current year, we are asking you to complete the survey.  We have extended the deadline to May 4.  Please take a few minutes and complete it now by clicking here

Budget Development
Interim Superintendent Aaron Bochniak presented a second draft 2021-2022 Budget proposal to the Board of Education on April 21.  The revised spending plan includes the $3.6 million addition of programs, services and staffing that were in the original draft plus an additional $2.3 million to cover building assessment and long-range planning costs, increased payment on debt services, and to address critical repairs necessary to keep the pool open at Schenectady High School.  The revised proposal still holds the tax levy flat for the third consecutive year and keeps it the lowest it has been since 2012.  Details of the draft are posted here.   Dr. Bochniak will present another draft at the board of education meeting tomorrow night.  It is anticipated the board will adopt a final plan at the meeting.  The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held remotely.  The connection information will be posted on the homepage of our website.

Also on the board meeting agenda for tomorrow night is a presentation on Equity, Diversion, and Inclusion.
