The Schenectady City School District Board of Education, on March 25, announced the resignation of Larry Spring as Superintendent of Schools. 

The Board appointed Dr. Aaron Bochniak as acting superintendent and will be engaging a full time search for a replacement superintendent. 

The Board is committed to finding a leader who will foster and build on the Board’s and District’s long term commitment to its work on equity, social-emotional learning and improving educational outcomes for the entire Schenectady City School District student population.
