Congratulations to Maazin Ahmed, Times Union 2018 Athlete of the Year

Congratulations to Schenectady High School Senior Maazin Ahmed, who on April 2, was named the Times Union 2018 Athlete of the Year.
Ahmed won the NYS championship, the Section II title in the 1000 meters, the boys' invitational mile and he ran in the prestigious Millrose Games in New York City. He will attend Geogetown University in the Fall.
Seniors Mary Liebers and Keegan Cochrane, and, junior Trebor Davis earned spots on the first team of all-stars. Junior Colin James was named to the second team.
