Congratulations to Ezra Masse-Mahar, a 2008 graduate of Schenectady High School and member of Diavolo, a dance group that has earned a spot in the finals of America's Got Talent.  Masse-Mahar and Diavolo will perform in the finals on Tuesday, September 19 at 8 p.m. on NBC (Channel 13).  America will vote on the performances.  The winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 20.  The winning act receives $1 million and a headlining show in Las Vegas.

As a student in Schenectady,  Masse-Mahar was a student athlete who was a member of the swimming and diving team from 2004-2007 and a wrestler as a senior.

According to Coach Brian Melanson, Masse-Mahar still holds the school record for eleven dives, noting that he finished second in the Section and 48th in the state in 2007.  Melanson said he remembers him as the kid at the Memorial Day parade who was "doing cartwheels, handsprings and flips down the street."

Diavolo's performances are described as architecture in motion, a performance of acrobatic and modern dance movement set on a variety of oversized structures.

You can vote for Diavolo during the show on Tuesday evening through 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.
