Urban School Conference

Featured Speakers Adam Alvarez, James Moffitt, Jamila Lyiscott

The conference will provide teachers and administrators the tools to address the unique issues facing urban educators today. It will focus on programs, initiatives/and or practices designed to eliminate race, economics and disabilities as predictors of student achievement. Sessions will have a focus on improving achievement and closing gaps, professional development, leadership and governance, bilingual, and special education programming. All sessions will be aligned and related to making a difference in improving academic achievement for traditionally underserved students. 

DATE: Tuesday, November 6, 2018
TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Empire State Convention Center, Albany NY
COST: $150 per participant
